Emergency Refrigeration Services: Delivered in Hours, Not Days

Most refrigeration emergencies don't have a 48-hour window. Our trailers are pre-cooled, loaded, and dispatched on demand — so you can keep operating while we handle the cold chain.

01. Call or request a quote

Reach our 24/7 line or submit an emergency quote. We confirm trailer size, location, and delivery window in minutes — not hours.

02. We Dispatch  immediately

Our drivers pull a pre-cooled trailer and head straight to you. Onboard generators keep cooling while in transit, so your unit is ready the second it arrives.

03. Plug in and store

Standard 110V hookup — no special wiring, no electrician. Load product directly. We handle pickup when your situation is resolved.
When You Need Us Most

Emergency Refrigeration Service Situations We Handle Every Day

From a single restaurant cooler going down to multi-day disaster recovery, our Emergency Refrigeration Service fleet is built to respond.

Power Outages

Storms, grid failures, and utility issues can wipe out hours of inventory. We deliver self-powered cold storage that runs independent of your facility.

Walk-In Cooler Down

When your walk-in fails mid-service, every minute counts. Move product into our trailer in under an hour and keep your kitchen running.

Equipment Failure

Compressor blew? Reach-in died? Use a trailer as a temporary solution while you wait on parts or a service technician.

Storm & Disaster Recovery

Hurricanes, floods, and severe weather don't wait. Our regional fleet supports rapid deployment for grocers, restaurants, and relief operations.

Event Emergencies

Wedding catering, festivals, corporate events — when on-site refrigeration fails or runs short, we deliver fast so the event keeps going.

Medical & Pharmaceutical

Vaccine storage, lab samples, and pharmaceutical inventory require strict temperature control. We deliver units calibrated for medical-grade compliance.

Emergencies don't keep business hours. Neither do we.

Icebox provides temporary or long-term mobile refrigeration at a flat rate to customers on the East Coast of the United States. We offer 24-hour emergency service and have multiple-size trailers to accommodate specific needs.
When your refrigeration goes down at 2am Saturday or during a Sunday lunch rush, you need a real person to pick up — not a voicemail. Our dispatch team is staffed around the clock so you always reach someone who can act.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Refrigerated Trailer Rentals

Have questions about renting a refrigerated trailer or mobile cold storage unit? You're in the right place. We've put together answers to the most common questions we hear from customers across Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and West Virginia. If you don't see what you're looking for, give your regional Icebox team a call — we're always happy to help.

Where can you drop off trailers?

We can deliver and set up trailers at most locations, including businesses, event sites, and job locations. Trailers are placed at your final destination and picked up from the same spot once your rental period ends.

How are the trailers powered?

Our trailers operate on a standard 110-volt, 20-amp dedicated circuit. If power is not available on-site, they can also be powered by a minimum 5,500-watt generator.

How and when do you take payment?

Payment is collected prior to trailer dispatch. We’ll send a secure, click-to-pay invoice so everything is handled before delivery.

Do I need to sign a rental agreement?

Yes. A rental agreement is provided digitally and must be signed prior to delivery. This helps ensure a smooth and timely setup.

Is there a fee for delivery of the trailer?

Yes. Delivery is billed per hour as a one-time charge, which includes delivery, setup, and pickup at the end of your rental. We'll quote you on delivery once we know your delivery destination.

Is emergency service available?

Yes. Emergency service is available during evenings and weekends for an additional fee. Emergency delivery rates are higher than our standard delivery rates.

How Quickly Can You Deliver?

Delivery timing depends on availability and location, but most standard deliveries can be coordinated within 24 hours. Emergency delivery options may be available sooner.

Can the Trailer Be Moved After Delivery?

For safety reasons, trailers should remain in place once delivered. If repositioning is needed, please contact our team so we can assist.
